Ashutosh Garg


Ashutosh Garg, Chairman and Managing Director, an MBA worked in the corporate sector for twenty-five years, of which seventeen were at ITC Limited where he rose to become the youngest ever managing director of any ITC group company. In January 1995, he was recognised as a ‘Global Leader for Tomorrow’ by the World Economic Forum at Davos, Switzerland. He left ITC at the same year and spent eight years in the aerospace industry. In 2003 he started a chain of health and beauty retail outlets in north India under the brand name Guardian Pharmacy (www.guardian.in) which has now grown to over 230 outlets is adding two new stores each week. He is also the author of the bestselling book ‘The Buck Stops Here’

Garg is the member of the Young Presidents’ Organisation since 1994 as well as a charter member of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs). He also serves on the board of the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization and on the boards of several companies. His family includes his wife Vera, who is also a board member and two sons. His elder son, Varun Garg, worked for 4 years with American Express in Singapore and has just left the company to pursue his MBA at the London Business School. His younger son Ashwin Garg works for Procter and Gamble in Toronto. He has made two significant acquisitions: a plot of land on the moon and a piece of Berlin Wall. He is an avid golfer, plays the Indian flute and enjoys reading and listening to Indian classical and vocal music.


Vera Garg


Vera Garg is Lead Teacher, Social Studies and the High School Community Service Coordinator at the American Embassy School, New Delhi. She is an academic at heart. She topped Mumbai University at Graduation and Master's Levels. She did her M.Phil from JNU Delhi and earned Master's in Education from Michigan State University, USA (1993). In addition of these degrees, she has attended various courses and seminars at international universities including the Harvard Graduate school of Education. She doesn't stop at being an academic rather reinvents herself as the Director of Guardian Pharmacy.


Raj Mitta


Raj Mitta is Chairman of Essential Value Associates Private Ltd, Singapore based boutique high-powered consultancy firm. The firm provides assistance to chairmen, board-members, owner-managers and CEOs on issues of managing change and strategic implementation. Earlier Raj led Arthur D Little's Asian operations for 6 years as its Executive Chairman.

Under Raj's guidance of ADL's operations, the firm witnessed unprecedented growth in the region with revenues growing at a CAGR greater than 50%.

His main areas of professional interest are in strategy development and value extraction through enhancing marketing and sales effectiveness, the competitive repositioning of brands/services and issues relating to managing change within the organisation. He has a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering and a Masters in Business.


Rob Bakshi


Rob Bakshi arrived in Vancouver from Punjab. He attended a private Catholic school in Vancouver and later graduated from Simon Fraser University in Business and Computing Science.

After launching a successful Information Technology consulting business, he decided to give that up and become an industrialist. Silent Witness Enterprises was launched in 1986 that became one of the largest and successful technology companies in British Columbia. Silent Witness was acquired by Honeywell for over $87 million. Rather than taking an early retirement, Mr. Bakshi is currently developing a large-scale commercial project in Calgary.


Nalin Rathod


Nalin Rathod is based in Jakarta and currently is the President Director of Bakrie & Brothers Tbk. , one of the largest conglomerates in Indonesia, primarily having interest in Coal Mining, Telecommunication and Infrastructure sectors.

He joined the Bakrie Group in 1987 when the market cap was US$35 million and by year end 1997, the market cap rose to US$1.4 billion. His role was as Managing Director and CFO of the Group.

Nalin was instrumental in several M&A transactions/financing transactions for the group.

During 1997 - 2002, Nalin was involved in business restructuring and turn around with major debt restructuring as a result of 1997 Asean regional financial crisis.


Ron Drori


Ron Drori is based in Warsaw, Poland. He is Board member, Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of CEPD (Central European Pharmaceutical Distribution) management. The company is a Dutch holding, operating pharmacy chains in Poland and the Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries (www.cepd24.com). CEPD is the largest player in the retail distribution of pharmaceuticals in the CEE region operating 2,341 pharmacies. He has extensive management and consulting experience in retail. He is a qualified pharmacist and has earned his MBA degree from the University of Boston.
