This multivitamin contains some potentially harmful ingredients

Package Quantity: 1
Unfortunately, this multivitamin contains some potentially harmful ingredients, one of which contributed to diagnosed neuropathy symptoms for me from a neurologist after using it for over a year and a half. While many other parts may be healthy, these two ingredients alone may cause more harm then any benefit received. This multivitamin contains 50mg of Vitamin B6 in the pyridoxine form. There was an upper tolerable limit set by the european food safety authority at 25mg due to concerns over potential neuropathy at higher doses but the USA allows higher currently. Recent research (The Vitamin B6 Paradox on researchgate) now also indicates that pyridoxine form can inhibit the active form of B6, so the more Pyridoxine you take, the more it can work against you and can lead to vitamin b6 deficiency. It also is being indicated to be the toxic form, and some have found neuropathy symptoms at far lower doses then 25mg/day. This neuropathy can be permanant. The RDA is only 1.3-1.7mg. The active form P5P did not show the same problems. There is also a MTHFR gene mutation in up to half of the population that wont do well with this form of vitamin B12 and Folic Acid.It also contains copper sulfate which is an copper (II) inorganic copper. Ingested copper (II) is being indicated to be very toxic and should be removed. Evidence of that comes first from the Alzheimer’s disease (AD) animal model studies ofSparks & Schreurs. They administered tiny amounts of copper (0.12 ppm) in drinking water to a rabbit model of AD and showed greatly enhanced amyloid plaque formation in the brain and greatly increased memory loss. This is AD caused by tiny amounts of copper (II) and has been confirmed in mouse and subsequent studies. Drinking water from copper pipes and most all supplement copper is all copper (II) and food copper almost all copper (I) as shown by Ceko et al. Morris and colleagues in human studies showed that the highest quintile of copper intake, and only people taking copper containing supplements were in this quintile, lost cognition at 6 times the rate of other groups. Copper in currently available supplement pills is all copper (II) if not a food source. Mursa et al. have reported that mortality was 42% higher in older women taking copper [all copper (II)] containing supplement pills. I would try to avoid supplements with either pyridoxine form of B6 or inorganic copper (II) forms.Has my review been of help to you? If so, would you consider hitting the "helpful" button below? I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
